What the client needed
A Singapore-based investor had owned 2.1 acres near Shankarpally for eleven years. For nine of those he had received no photograph, no document and no confirmation that the land was still as he had left it.
He was not looking to sell. He wanted to know what he owned and whether it was intact.
What WENS did
The first site visit happened within eight working days of the mandate. It found roughly 14 guntas of the holding under cultivation by an adjoining owner, and a boundary that had moved.
We commissioned a fresh survey against the revenue record, established the correct boundary, and pursued recovery through the mandal revenue office rather than through litigation.
Once recovered, the boundary was walled, surveyed markers were installed at each corner, and the holding was put onto a quarterly inspection cycle with geotagged photography.
Eight years of unpaid land revenue and a lapsed mutation were also cleared as part of onboarding.
What resulted
The full recorded extent was recovered within seven months, without litigation.
The holding is now walled, surveyed, mutated correctly and inspected quarterly.
The owner has since placed two further holdings under WENS custody.
I have owned land outside Hyderabad for eleven years and for nine of them I had no idea what condition it was in. WENS sent me a dated photograph of my own boundary wall within a fortnight of signing, and I have had one every quarter since. That is the whole product, and it is worth every rupee.
